DEFEND THE SUNRISE review
A Ripping Novel - Throughout sub-Saharan Africa, our shared natural heritage teeters on an edge, existentially threatened by commercial greed. Defend the Sunrise, allows the reader to see, taste and feel the bush and the harsh dangers faced by those on the frontlines of wildlife protection. In a ripping novel, Mackintosh has managed not only to capture their courage and the world where they work, but to leave us inspired.

REBUKE THE WIND review
Thought Provoking and Inspiring - Rebuke the Wind is a masterpiece! Thought-provoking, inspiring, and heart-wrenching all at the same time. Everyone will find something to love about this book. Isa’s journey through the Sahel explores the enduring love of a parent for their child, the recklessness of youth, and the resiliency of a young woman. I feel fortunate to have read this book. Rebuke the Wind is a must read!!!

Kidnapped by the world’s largest terrorist organization, Boko Haram, a fourteen year old girl from Cameroon escapes and rescues a fellow hostage, a French engineer. She leads him across the Sahel to safety while terrorists hunt them and militaries scramble. This is a story of courage and the reservoir of strength that we have, even in the face of terrible odds.

rebuild the moon review
Phenomenal - This is a thriller, plotted so well and entirely gripping!! From the dying philanthropist in his hospice bed to the New York lawyers to the vivid scenes and characters of hunting and living in the African bush to the questioning of the past and coming to terms with the present. I’ve traveled in East Africa and it awakened so many memories. Beautifully written. Bravo Trip!
